COUNST – Raluca Pora

Urbain Projects & Art Management

About me and Counst

My name is Raluca Pora, I studied art history and history and have lived in Bucharest, Düsseldorf, Washington DC and Hamburg, among other places. I now live in Marseille. I’ve always been interested in the presentation, staging and transmission of art and history in urban spaces, exhibition halls and digital spaces. I’m passionate about interactivity, mobility, digital technology and communication. For over 20 years, I’ve been working with associations, companies, galleries, museums, foundations, publishing houses, authorities and schools. My core skills lie in curatorial practice, editorial work, and project management.

For me, communication is fundamental. It’s the only way to develop individual and therefore optimal solutions – always with the aim of making art and history tangible and accessible.

With Counst, I am pursuing the goal of presenting art and history in innovative ways and making them accessible to everyone, whether through exhibitions, guided tours or digital formats. My approach is discursive, interactive, aesthetic, dynamic and strategic.

My most recent activities between Hamburg and Marseille :

2024 : Head of Art & Science

As a foundation director in Hamburg, I took on responsibility, developed new ideas and programmes and structured projects. The conception and organisation of the promotion of artists and science and the development of new exhibition formats were at the heart of my work.

2023 : Architecture & Art à Marseille

With an inexhaustible enthusiasm for the 2,600-year-old port city of Marseille, I had the opportunity to contribute to a publication that presents the architecture, history and art of the city. I give an overview of the world of sculptures, monuments and objects in the public space. One particular theme is the colonial heritage which, here too, as in many other cities, is still waiting to be dealt with.

2022 : Rectorat d’Aix-Marseille

For almost three years, I taught art, culture and the German language to a large number of French pupils in collèges, lycées and primary schools. This invaluable experience now enables me to introduce German pupils to the history and art of the city from a variety of perspectives during my guided tours of Marseille.
